Studio Guide to Modern Ceramic Art

Ceramic artist

François Ruegg

Ceramist and visual artist, François Ruegg continues to explore the limits of matter, exploring tensions, movements and paradoxes. He seeks the exact moment when the breaking point can become the point of balance, and embodies it in matter.
His recent work has led him to question appearances, to scrutinize what lies behind the veil of convention, seduction and pretense, and thus, ultimately, to question the limits of our freedom.
He is represented in various public and private collections in Switzerland  and abroad, and takes part in numerous national and international exhibitions.
He is a member of the International Academy of Ceramics IAC-AIC.
