Wrapping a body in its entirety has a completely different significance to wrapping objects. The folds, gestures and tensions, beyond their aesthetic role, transform the human being into an object, an immobile sculpture, far removed from any individuality or free will. As well as exploring form, photography helps us to distance ourselves from the violence of the total enclosure of a living being. Through advertising and social prescriptions, we are subjected to the double injunction of being ourselves while conforming to the physical canons in force.
<\/em><\/span>In Appearances, real bodies become smooth and ageless, without nationality or skin colour, thanks to a sheath of white plasticised fabric.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Narciso, in 2014, marks the continuation of this research into the notion of identity and its dilution by conformity to the changing criteria of seduction. Today, Narcissus no longer loses himself in his own reflection, but in the lure he imagines to be the most appealing.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Le biais de la photographie permet, en me\u0302me temps qu\u2019elle explore la forme, de mettre a\u0300 distance la violence que repre\u0301sente l\u2019en- fermement total d\u2019un e\u0302tre vivant. Nous sommes soumis, par la publicite\u0301, les prescriptions sociales, a\u0300 la double injonction d\u2019e\u0302tre nous-me\u0302mes tout en re\u0301pondant aux canons physiques en vigueur. Dans les Apparences, les corps re\u0301els deviennent ainsi lisses et sans a\u0302ge, sans nationalite\u0301 ni couleur de peau, gra\u0302ce a\u0300 une gaine de tissu blanc plastifie\u0301.\n\nNarciso<\/em> marque, en 2014, la suite de cette recherche sur la notion d\u2019identite\u0301 et sa dilution dans la conformite\u0301 aux crite\u0300res \u2013 changeants \u2013 de la se\u0301duction.
